ok when it comes to shipping phan wheres the line? I think they're cute together,as a couple or friends, and I do read a good fanfic now and then (with a dash of smut). but I would never harass them for it, or do anything like that. but is just shipping them as a whole bad? I really don't wanna hurt them or make them uncomfortable. I guess after the video i'm just feeling guilty.
honestly there’s a lot of aspects of phan that dnp have actually encouraged- they’ve read smutty phanfics and looked at the art and they were okay with it!
what w a s n ‘ t okay was:
-people finding dans younger brother and asking him if phan was real -taking statements on his sexuality he made when he was young as if they were a Factual Truth that he had to address right then and there -constantly spamming liveshows with “pHAN IS REAL!!” and “UR GAY??” -bombarding dan’s askbox on tumblr asking about phan and his sexuality -making him feel entitled to an answer of what his sexuality was -acting as though that was the most interesting aspect about him and everything else he did was irrelevant
dnp have never expressed having a problem with creative phan art and writing. the issue has always been people over-stepping their privacy and acting entitled to answers to complicated questions.
so create! have fun! just don’t reduce them to being ‘just’ gay youtubers and remember to respect their privacy and that they’re entitled to share and not share whatever they please with us.

LIKE it’s so weird because im pretty sure we were all on board with the fact that they were in a relationship and never going to say it? but now that they have said it everything just feels so much rosier and beautiful.. idk how to explain it.. just every moment with them feels that much more precious
